Montreal is still missing Max Domi

Despite signing with his hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, in July, Max Domi said he misses his time in Montreal.

Journalists present at the team’s golf tournament on Monday offered the former Montreal Canadiens player a chance to redeem himself. In fact, Domi stated in the summer of 2019 that “there was nothing like it in Montreal.”

“I expected this question,” Domi said at a news conference. If I have to be completely honest, playing in Montreal was one of the best experiences of my life and the fans were very good to me and I miss my time in Montreal.

However, the twelfth overall pick in the 2013 draft wanted to reassure Maple Leafs fans.

“I’m home in Toronto. Like I said, it’s always been a dream to play here. I only have good memories of Montreal and wish them the best, but I will give everything for Toronto from now on, so that’s all that matters to me now,” he confessed.

Ryan Reaves sends a message to Radko Gudas

By signing Ryan Reaves this summer, the Queen City club wanted to fill a need that is not yesterday’s news. Several observers criticized the team for not showing enough character in recent seasons. That’s why general manager Brad Treliving has targeted the powerful forward.

The former Minnesota Wild player dotted his i’s and dotted his t’s in reference to Radko Gudas’ controversial celebration in Game 5 of the second round against the Florida Panthers. The latter had mocked young Toronto goalkeeper Joseph Woll after Nick Cousins’ winning goal.

According to Reaves, everything would have been different if he had been present.

“I hope he tries,” he said during a press briefing. That would be interesting, wouldn’t it? It would be fun. I doubt there is anything like that here.”

I hope the message got through.
