Given the tragedy in Morocco that killed more than 2,900 people, Rachid Badouri was relieved that his family and loved ones were able to prevent the worst. He told us very emotionally in an interview: “I am completely on the side of the Moroccans. We feel helpless from the outside, but we experience it with them. I will do everything I can to help in one way or another.”

This help comes in the form of two special evenings to collect donations for the victims of the earthquake. The artists contacted by Rachid Badouri quickly accepted the invitation to help the Moroccan people.

On October 9th, several comedians will take the stage at the Olympia in Montreal to support Morocco in this special evening hosted by Rachid Badouri: Laurent Paquin, Christine Morency, Eddy King, Anas Assouna, Neev Bensimon, Oussama Farès and Douaa Kachache.

On October 12th at the Olympia in Montreal, it’s time for music on an evening from Pollen Records with MB, Loud, La Zarra, Lost, White-B, Rowjay, Souldia, Ya Cetidon, Capt. Gaza, Mikalya and 4Say. Charaf Bouregaa, director and partner of Pollen Records, was also present at the earthquake in Morocco.

These two charity shows are presented as part of Rachid Badouri’s “We for You” initiative, which has been offering shows to support victims of humanitarian crises since 2017.

Tickets for these two shows will be available starting Wednesday, September 20th at midnight for $45. T-shirts will also be available for $35. All profits will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
