Barenaked Ladies have thrilled fans with the release of their 18th studio album and the announcement of an upcoming UK tour.

The legendary Canadian band, formed in 1988 and consisting of Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Tyler Stewart and Kevin Hearn, recently released the album “In Flight” and announced that they will be touring in April in support of the new album support.

The band will perform at nine venues across the UK from April 4-15, 2024, including London, Glasgow and Cambridge.

They will also be performing two Hometown Holidays shows in the US in December – on Tuesday, December 5th at the Motor City Casino in Detroit, MI and on Thursday, December 7th at the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, MN .

Drummer Stewart said: “From Edinburgh in the north to Brighton in the south, we’re coming back to rock the UK. The Barenaked Ladies always love playing at Ol’ Blighty and this time, Manchester, it will be more than just Ed and Tyler!

VIP and artist pre-sales for the tour begin on September 20th at 10am BST and ticket sales begin on September 22nd at 10am BST.

On September 15th, the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their song “One Week”, while October 1st marks the 35th anniversary of the band’s first live show in Toronto.

The band has been nominated for two Grammy Awards throughout their career and has sold over 15 million albums and singles.

They formed in Toronto in 1988 and achieved mainstream success in Canada when their Reprise Records debut, Gordon, was released in 1992 with the singles If I Had $1000000 and Brian Wilson.

Their fourth studio album, “Stunt,” was released in 1998 and spawned the hits “One Week” and “Call and Answer.”

In the 2010s, the band became known for creating the theme song for the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
