Israeli forces reportedly laid siege to the home of Muhammad Abu Al-Baha’a, leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades
The Israeli army launched an operation against the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Jenin in the West Bank on Tuesday.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, heavy gunfire erupted during the raid, reportedly leaving three Palestinians dead. Israeli airstrikes on the Jenin refugee camp have been reported.
The Israeli army confirmed the use of a Maoz-type explosive drone. According to Palestinian reports, Israel fired a rocket at the home of a top leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group in Palestine in the refugee camp, while Israeli planes attacked targets from the air.
Israeli forces also reportedly laid siege to the home of Muhammad Abu Al-Baha’a, leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – the armed wing of the Fatah party, before withdrawing from Jenin camp in the evening. In a statement, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the military attack in Jenin was part of “necessary measures to prevent terrorist activities.”
