  • Danny Masterson, 47, was put behind bars last week – three months after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting two women in 2003

Danny Masterson’s wife Bijou Phillips has filed for divorce, less than two weeks after he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for rape.

Masterson, 47, was put behind bars last week – three months after he was convicted of sexually assaulting two women in 2003. His wife Bijou, 43, stood by him during the trial.

Bijou, who married the actor in 2011 and shares nine-year-old daughter Fianna with him, filed divorce papers in a California court on Monday, TMZ reported.

The couple began dating in 2004 after meeting at a poker tournament in Las Vegas and got engaged in 2009 before tying the knot in a wedding ceremony at a castle in Ireland in 2011.

Masterson had two trials. His first trial, six months earlier, ended in a mistrial after a different jury was hopelessly deadlocked on all three rape charges.

He was released on $3.3 million bail in both cases, but that freedom ended with his double conviction on May 31.

Since then, the actor has been incarcerated at the infamous Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.

Bijou, who faithfully stood by her husband for 12 years during his two sexual assault trials, was comforted by brother-in-law Jordan Masterson after the verdict was announced last week.

Formerly a devoted wife, she accompanied Masterson to his court hearings to show solidarity with the now-disgraced actor.

But after hearing the heartbreaking testimony of his victims in a harrowing court case, Phillips appeared to have reconsidered their marriage.

The victims, known to the court as Jane Doe No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, focused not only on the disturbing details of the sexual assaults but also described how they were intimidated and driven from their community because The Church of Scientology punished her for speaking out against the star of That 70s Show.

While Masterton was convicted of the first two rape charges, the jury was divided on a third charge of raping Jane Doe No. 3, his ex-girlfriend Chrissie Carnell-Bixler.

Masterson didn’t respond to his condemnation – but he did blow Phillips a kiss as he was escorted to the slammer.

Phillips looked dejected as she sat in the gallery amid a grim group of Scientology friends and family members. At one point she held a handkerchief to her face.

This is breaking news.
