Blink-182 announces new album, first in 12 years

The members of Blink-182 have released a new album.

One More Time, the Californian band’s ninth studio album, is the first release from Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker since 2011’s Neighborhoods. The record will be released on October 20th via Columbia Records, while the title track will be released on October 20th Will be available Thursday.

“The album “One More Time” is about… Why does it take catastrophes like my plane crash or Mark’s illness to get our band back together? ” explained the album’s drummer and producer Travis Barker in a trailer released on Monday.

Kourtney Kardashian’s husband was involved in a plane crash in 2008 that killed four of the six people on board, while Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021.

Tom DeLonge first left Blink-182 in 2005 to form his new band Angels and Airwaves. He returned between 2009 and 2015 and reunited with his former bandmates in 2022 following Mark Hoppus’ health problems. The All the Small Things singers are currently in Europe as part of their world tour. Their performance is scheduled for Tuesday evening in Prague, Czech Republic.
