The executioner of Lanaudière, Gilles Croze, died at the age of 69 –

TVA Nouvelles has learned from a reliable source that the executioner of Lanaudière, Gilles Croze, died in the last few days.

The 69-year-old spent the last days of his life in prison. However, an illness (cancer) forced him to be transferred to a CHSLD, where he died on September 6th. One alleged victim we spoke to, who wished to remain anonymous, made no secret of her disappointment that a verdict was ultimately not reached in this case. By regularly changing lawyers, Croze dragged out the court proceedings until his death.

Almost 80 charges were brought against him. He was accused of sexual and violent crimes in several Quebec cities over four decades: sexual assault, kidnapping, death threats, negligent handling of a firearm, attempted murder. Humility and pointing a gun at 14 people the victims.

There were additional charges, including “fraudulently impersonating a dead or living person with the intent to gain an advantage.”

These events allegedly occurred between September 17, 2015 and June 4, 2019, the day of the defendant’s arrest in Saint-Charles-Borromée.

To the nine locations where Croze is said to have been active since 1976, two more have been added, namely Saint-Lin-Laurentides and the Montreal district of Rivière-des-Prairies.

It also claimed victims in Saint-Charles-Borromée, Joliette, Sainte-Mélanie, Saint-Jean-de-Matha, Saint-Paul, Varennes, Longueuil, Chambly and Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville.

According to the Journal de Montréal, the sixty-year-old is said to have forced children to eat their vomit and killed their pet in front of them.

Croze allegedly raped the adult women multiple times, attempted to strangle them, threw objects at them and beat them.

He allegedly even forced a woman with a mental disability to eat a rabbit poop sandwich in front of her children.
