British fans of Married at First Sight praised the show for its big reveal scenes when the new series launched this week.
Many took to Twitter when the second episode aired on Tuesday night to express their displeasure at how the couple’s families reacted to the news.
On the show, those who decide to tie the knot must first tell their friends and family that they plan to do just that.
But many commented online that they didn’t understand why the families reacted in shock when they went on the show while a MAFS camera crew was in their home.
In the second episode, Ella Morgan, Nathanial Valentino, Rosaline Darlington and Thomas Kriaras told their loved ones that they planned to marry a complete stranger.

Having their say: Many took to Twitter when the episode aired on Tuesday night to express their anger at how the couple’s families reacted to the news (Ella’s father and brother pictured).
One said: “Why are the families acting shocked as if they didn’t just invite the Married at First Sight crew and cameramen into their homes?” #MAFSUK.’
Another added: “And cleaned thoroughly and got the best cups out beforehand!”
A third wrote: “I say that every season. ‘It’s just silly!’
Someone else commented: “#MAFSUK loves how relatives are in shock yet there’s a camera crew hanging around.”
When Thomas told his mother he was marrying a stranger, she looked shocked as she said, “Oh my God, you stupid, stupid boy.”
After she calmed down, she added, “Look, it’s your life and you’re going to do what you’re going to do.”
On Tuesday, viewers were also moved to tears in the second episode of the series when Ella came out as transgender after marrying her husband Nathanial.
Clinic counselor Ella, 29, spoke of her crippling fear of rejection before walking down the aisle, recalling times when men had rejected her or even wanted their relationship with her to remain a secret after she had previously told them that she was transsexual.
But on Tuesday, marketing and events manager Nathanial, 36, delighted fans of the show when he accepted Ella for who she was without a second thought, before coming out to her as pansexual and insisting he fell in love with the person in love, regardless of their gender identity.

Last week, Web reported how the reality series had sparked a “fake” row after claiming Nathanial didn’t know he was marrying a trans woman.
The broadcaster admitted they had actually told the groom ahead of the TV ceremony, although he appeared shocked by the revelation, which aired in Tuesday night’s episode.
In Married At First Sight, which airs on the network’s streaming platform E4, contestants don’t know who they’re marrying until they meet them at the altar.
But a Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed to Web that Nathanial “was told the partner he found was a trans woman”.
In a released statement, the network said: “This is the first time MAFS UK has featured a trans bride. To ensure full informed consent and with the bride’s permission, the groom was informed that the match found for him was a trans woman, after which both parties decided to continue the process.
“Otherwise, the integrity of the format was maintained.” “Our priority in matchmaking is to protect the well-being of the cast and create compatible matches based on a detailed assessment of individual preferences as part of an in-depth, careful matchmaking process. “
Despite the show being fake, Channel 4 bosses insist a “high level of due diligence” was placed on their game.
While a preview of Wednesday’s episode appeared to show Ella and Nathanial falling out during a bitter argument, the moment of Ella’s coming out moved viewers to tears, with many taking to Twitter to express their joy that Ella was separated from Nathanial was accepted.

One person wrote: “Good job experts. Looking forward to watching Nathaniel and Ella grow!!!!”
Another shared: “Nathaniel must be protected at all costs #mafsuk,” while someone else posted: “Yes Nathanial… MY HUSBAND!!!!”
Someone else tweeted: “I cried twice in 20 minutes Ella and Nathaniel you got me.”
“These two make me cry. I love them,” another viewer commented, while another wrote: “Nathaniel is a king. Look at Ella’s smile.”
Another show fan wrote: “Awww I love this for her, awww Nath & Ella routing for you both.”
Referring to Nathanial’s reaction to Ella’s coming out, someone else wrote: “As beautiful as you are, it doesn’t matter what you look like. It’s about how you are inside and how you make me feel.” “Wonderful words…but I also bet it would be practical to look like Nathanial.”
Another person tweeted: “I’ll be fighting for these two for the next two months – if anything goes wrong don’t talk to me.”
And another viewer wrote: “Ella tells him and Nathaniel accepts it so beautifully. ‘Big hopes for her.’
Ella, who lives with her grandma, was excited to walk down the aisle and admitted her wedding dress made her feel like the “Disney princess” she had always dreamed of.
She said through tears as she stood in her wedding dress: “I can’t believe I’m getting married as Ella, when I could tell my six-year-old self that I’m going to be the Disney princess I’ve always dreamed of being .’
She was matched by the experts with Nathanial, who said he was looking for an “open-minded” partner and was pansexual himself.
Ella opened up about her heartbreaking past experiences as she shared how men she dated wanted to keep her gender identity a secret from their friends and families after finding out she was transgender.
She explained: “The boys rejected me on the whole transgender issue.” Once I told them about myself, they continued to date me but wanted to keep it a secret and I didn’t want to be anyone’s dirty little secret. That’s why many transsexuals don’t get married because they can’t make it that far.
“I just want someone to be proud of me and equally open-minded and accepting of my past, that’s all I want.”
Nathanial said he just wants to meet someone who “radiates love and kindness” and is more attracted to what the person is like on the inside than anything else.
“It was hard not having anyone to rely on. “It’s important to have stability and wisdom – someone who has been through things to connect with, my ride and my death,” he said.
Tears flowed: Ella cried as she stood in her wedding dress before her ceremony with Nathanial
Vow: Ella was nervous about marrying Nathanial, but he had no problem with her being transgender when she told him
Burning argument: It seems marital bliss won’t last so long, as in a preview for Wednesday’s episode, Nathanial was seen vehemently accusing Ella of lying
When they first met, Ella told the camera: “He’s so fit – he’s everything I expected, great hair and great teeth.”
Nathanial said: “When I see Ella for the first time in her eyes and that smile, I feel so relieved.”
However, it looks like their marital bliss won’t last that long, as in a preview for Wednesday’s episode, Nathanial was seen violently accusing Ella of lying while they had a heated argument on the beach during their honeymoon.
Ella was seen sobbing while chatting on camera following their argument.
