Filming begins on “Mlle Bottine”, a new version of the fairy tale for everyone “Bach et Bottine” with Antoine Bertrand in the leading role

Director Yan Lanouette Turgeon began filming on Wednesday Miss Bottinea new version of the famous fairy tale for everyone Bach and Bottine, in which Antoine Bertrand and the young actress Marguerite Laurence will be seen in the two main roles.

Mateo Laurent Memberno Daigle, Mani Soleymanlou, Marilyn Castonguay, Benoît Gouin, Louise Turcot, Ellen David, Myriam Fournier, Dino Tavarone and Jean-François Provençal are also part of the cast of the feature film, which will be filmed in Montreal and surrounding areas until November 9th.

Scripted by Dominic James, Mlle Bottine tells the story of an opera composer lacking inspiration (Antoine Bertrand) who is forced to take in his niece (Marguerite Laurence), a rebellious and eccentric orphan whose best friend is a skunk.

The original film Bach et Bottine, released in 1986, was the third work in the Tales for All series, following The War of the Tuques (1984) and Operation Butter of Pinottes (1985). The feature film, directed by André Melançon, starred Mahée Paiement and Raymond Legault.
