Influencer criticized for hiding ‘ugly’ emergency exit signs at her wedding – TVA Nouvelles

A fashion influencer is coming under fire for hiding bright red emergency exit signs with gold plates to avoid ruining her photos and videos.

“Imagine investing in a good photographer [qui peut retirer les détails non voulus] instead of cracking security codes […] Truly speechless — and I promise you, emergency exits are no big deal,” said Madison Anne, a photographer and videographer, in a video that reached more than 4.6 million views on TikTok in just a few days.

The latter responded to images from the wedding of fashion influencer Bridget Bahl, creative director of The Bar brand, who reportedly chose to display the “ugly” neon signs indicating the emergency exit during her recent marriage to plastic surgeon Michael Chiodo New York to hide, the New York Post reported on Wednesday.

Instead, she reportedly installed gold plaques with the word “Exit” on them, but much less visible in the Edwardian reception room of the luxury hotel The Plaza.

For several netizens, the couple was selfish for putting aesthetics above safety.

“Me as a wedding guest who died in a fire because I couldn’t find the exit (but that’s okay because the reception room was tastefully decorated),” joked a first internet user.

“How selfish! Not thinking about the safety of others. Simply edit with Photoshop! It’s red and big, even for the visually impaired,” responded briefly in the comments.
