After a series of mismatched couples formed almost entirely for the purpose of sparking arguments and fights, it’s a relief to see this Marriage at first sight has decided, at least for now, to bring together singles who are (really) able to compensate for each other’s shortcomings. In the second episode of the real-time docu-reality – which the most die-hard fans can catch up with quite a bit on Discovery+ – it actually seems clear that the protagonists of this edition have it all Intentions to get to know each other and to deepen the bond that the experts have just laid out on paper and bring them closer to each other. Evidence that the blindfold was discovered right on the altar, with the future husband or wife a few inches away, could have been a double-edged sword, as it would have immediately astonished and disappointed the singles – which, for example, happens Cristina Cadei Danesi and Mattia Viteritti in 2022, as Married at First Sight fans well remember – but fortunately no accidents were caught by the cameras.
