The Élan Foundation Golf Classic, presented on September 14th on the fairways of the Cap-Rouge Golf Club, raised a record sum of $80,000, which represents a tangible contribution to the services offered by the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale – Institute of Physical Impairment Rehabilitation of Quebec (IRDPQ), where 11,000 users receive services annually. The activity will also fund the purchase of an electrical muscle stimulation device for children suffering from spinal cord injury or brain damage. The equipment is also used on children who have limb limitations that make it difficult for them to participate in simple activities of daily living. Guinness World Records, the global authority on records, last Thursday released the 2024 edition of its Guinness World Records (photo), the world’s best-selling annual. The 2024 edition of GWR is the final product of a year in which almost 30,000 applications from record executives were reviewed. Only a small percentage of applications made it through the selection process, so the 2,638 records in the book truly represent the crème de la crème of this year. A must for all collectors, fans of unbelievable challenges or those looking for inspiration. Suggested retail price $36.95. Available at good retailers such as Renaud-Bray, Archambault, Indigo, Costco, Walmart and independent bookstores.
