Married At First Sight’s latest British season has been hit by allegations of fakery – raising questions about the show’s authenticity.
As with many previous seasons, questions have been asked about what goes on behind the scenes, with Channel 4 often forced to withstand claims of untruths, most recently with Ella Morgan, the show’s first transgender star.
Channel 4 was embroiled in a fake controversy after claiming the groom, appearing on reality show Married At First Sight UK, did not know he had been set up with a transgender woman – before later revealed that he had been told this in advance.
As well as the tip-off, some of the contestants have also been seen on other shows, including Laura Vaughan, who dated Gary Lucy on Celebs Go Dating last year.
Laura wasn’t the only star to have previously looked for love on TV, as it was revealed groom Luke Worley appeared on Davina McCall’s short-lived dating show The Language Of Love two years ago.

The show kicked off on Monday where viewers saw Ella, who was born male and transitioned into a woman at 18, marry Nathanial.
Channel 4 was forced to reveal that bosses had informed him in advance.
In a statement, the network said: “This is the first time MAFS UK has featured a trans bride. To ensure full informed consent and with the bride’s permission, the groom was informed that the partner found for him was a trans bride, after which both parties decided to continue the process.
“Otherwise, the integrity of the format was maintained.” “Our priority in matchmaking is to protect the well-being of the cast and create compatible matches based on a detailed assessment of individual preferences as part of an in-depth, careful matchmaking process. “
Dating pros Mel Schilling and Paul C. Brunson addressed claims on “Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp” last week, emphasizing “this is not a moment of panic” and explaining that they had previously sought the groom’s consent.

Luke’s previous reality appearance saw Luke travel to Spain with British and Spanish singles to find “the one”. The show features a major twist as the contestants will not be able to speak the same language.
Viewers were quick to notice the repeated appearance, with one Twitter user writing: “I remember Luke from that other dating show called Language Of Love #MAFSUK…”

The latest questions come after Nathanial and Ella’s relationship hit the rocks in Wednesday’s episode after he dropped a bombshell during a heated argument.
While the couple’s romance started well at their wedding, with Nathanial openly admitting that his wife was transgender, things turned sour on Wednesday’s episode just hours after they arrived for their honeymoon in Mexico.
Nathanial claimed Ella kept secret from producers that she had confessed to him behind closed doors before claiming to the cameras that he had refused to show intimacy.
He then revealed that Ella used to work as a stripper, which she stressed she was “not ashamed of.”

Earlier in the day, Ella had to face her fears while cave diving with Nathanial, prompting him to admit she took the plunge “dramatically.”
Ella then confessed that there was a lack of “sexual chemistry” and intimacy between them and she began to feel like they were more like friends.
Nathanial insisted that their sexual connection would come with time, but Ella wondered why he didn’t make romantic gestures.
The pair’s argument led to Ella storming off in frustration, while Nathanial questioned why he signed up for the show in the first place.
The pair’s argument continued in her room as Ella accused Nathan of “acting,” which he then threw right back at her, claiming that their problems were little more than an act for the camera.
Then things went from bad to worse when Nathanial and Ella went to the beach the next day and the blonde was ready to apologize after calling her husband a “p***k.”
She said, “The reason I’m like this is because I feel like we’re not just friends.”
Nathanial hit back: “Was it vindictive?” Or was it the truth? I’m afraid you’re not in this for the same reasons I am. All I know…’

He then declared: “You lied about being a stripper,” before storming off.
Ella burst into tears and said: “I told him I took off my clothes in the past, I’m not ashamed of that.”
“But I’m worried that’s why he’s not being intimate. ‘There’s nothing I can do about that.’
As they prepared for the last night of their honeymoon, the newlyweds decided to keep some distance between them.
The episode ended with Ella standing by Nathanial after inviting him to dinner as a peace offering.
Elsewhere in the episode, Rozz and Thomas struggled to put their difficult start to married life behind them after jetting off to Austria for a skiing holiday, while Laura claimed Arthur had held back too much on their honeymoon to Mexico.

Things went much better for Jay and Luke, however, as their romance continued to blossom during their beach vacation in Grenada.
The couple was about to consummate their marriage but unfortunately were interrupted by the housekeeper at the hotel.
