Amazon is renewing its Fire TV Stick HDMI key offering, allowing access to streaming services on any screen with an HDMI port. These are the 4K models that will benefit from an update that brings better performance and the move to Wi-Fi 6 and 6E.
Amazon has just updated its Fire TV range with two new versions of its HDMI dongles. These small devices connect directly to the HDMI port of any screen to turn it into a connected TV and benefit from streaming via the Amazon Prime service as well as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Apple TV+, myCanal and many others.
Its high-end key, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K4K Max, costs 79.99 euros. This new version benefits from a more efficient processor clocked at 2 GHz and equipped with four cores, 16 GB of memory, twice as much as the previous model, and Wi-Fi 6E. As the name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max can display 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) content on compatible displays. It also supports DolbyDolby Vision, HDR, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos technologies. Finally, Fire TV’s dynamic screen feature is built in, giving you a personalized display of your information, your connected devices, or even artwork.

Amazon is also offering a new version of its Fire TV Stick 4K, which sells for 69.99 euros. For the savings of 10 euros, Amazon foregoes the Wi-FiWi-Fi 6E (only Wi-Fi 6) and the dynamic screen. This HDMI stick has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and 8 GB of memory. Despite having a slightly slower processor than the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Amazon is still announcing a 30% increase in performance compared to the previous generation.
Finally, the company added generative AI to its Fire TV products to make it easier for users to discover new content. You can ask Alexa for recommendations based on actors, directors, genres, or simple descriptions. The two new keys will be available from October 18th.
