The Chloe meme, a little girl whose sideways glance became famous on social media, turned 10 on September 12th. To celebrate this, the girl, who is no longer a child, recreated the meme this Thursday (9/21).
Chloe is currently 12 years old and lives with her family in Nashville, Tennessee (USA). In a montage on her Instagram managed by her mother Katie, she repeats the pose alongside the original meme. “Ten years difference between one sideways glance and the other. “Some things never change,” he captioned the photo.

The meme originated in 2013 from a video from the girl’s family: Chloe’s mother and sister recorded their reaction when they were told they were going to Disney. While Chloe’s sister cried with emotion, the girl who owned the meme looked at the camera with suspicion and even contempt.
The video from which the meme was created, published on YouTube, already has more than 22 million views.
“It’s been 10 years since our lives changed FOREVER! Chloe’s meme is truly iconic and will live forever as one of the most endearing sideeyes in history! “Thank you to the fans for your continued love and support,” the girl’s family wrote in a tribute on social media.
One follower represented the entire internet by commenting that the meme was still valid. “I use this face every day in situations where I don’t like something someone says,” he said.
