As the star of the Spider-Man superhero franchise, Tom Holland is no stranger to computer-generated special effects.
But I can reveal that the British actor has fallen victim to a far more sinister use of technology. The 27-year-old’s likeness is used in fake pornographic videos created using artificial intelligence and sophisticated to look like the real thing.
Given the large following of teenage fans in Holland, there are concerns that the explicit content could be accidentally viewed by young people searching for their idol online.
An industry source said: “This is all very worrying, especially because the content looks so real.” These sick individuals have used the latest AI technology.
“There are links directly to the videos on social media.” Many young fans may actually believe it is him in the footage, which is alarming. “Tom is truly one of the kindest, most wholesome actors around, so for him to fall victim to something like this is disturbing.”
