A construction worker has tragically died while helping set up this year’s first Formula One Grand Prix in Las Vegas.
According to a local CBS affiliate, police were called to the Bellagio Fountains on the Las Vegas Strip around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Footage from the scene shows several officers arriving at the Bellagio following reports of a serious injury.
A worker erecting structures for the upcoming F1 race is said to have suffered a “severe laceration to his neck” before being taken to a local hospital.
The man was later pronounced dead there due to the laceration to his neck.

In a video shared on TikTok, a user claimed that the tragic accident happened because Formula 1 workers “pushed construction too fast.”
