On the advice of his lover, actress Karine Belly, he auditioned for the role of corrupt fallen Broadway producer Max Bialystock in The Producers. He was recruited and the show was a huge success. The actor therefore had the idea of performing his own version in Quebec, which we can see in 2024. Serge, who will reprise his role as Max, emphasizes: “It is the most awarded musical comedy in history.” Auditions are now open. Could Son take part in the show? “I swear to you one thing: If he ends up on the show, it will be because he auditioned. Karine, my friend, already passed one of my auditions and didn’t make it. As Denise Filiatrault would say: “I have neither father nor mother with me!” If one day Thomas expresses a desire to appear in one of my shows, he will have to audition. Are Serge, Karine and their two children Valentin, nine years old, and Scarlett, almost eight years old, permanently resident in France? “No, I had contracts in France. Next year I will spend several months in Montreal. I still have my house there. I’ll be going back and forth between the two places because I have three or four productions in Paris next year. I think my life will now move back and forth between the two countries because I work in both countries and my children go to school in France. Scarlett and Valentin never went to school in Quebec. They came to France very young with their mother, who was acting in the theater there. Since 2016 I have been traveling alone and without my family most of the time.”
