Who is Pamela Conti, the trainer who seeks fame with the female Vinotinto?

The name Pamela Conti is becoming increasingly important in Venezuelan football. The Italian strategist will celebrate her four-year anniversary as head of the Venezuelan women’s team and seems to be in the process of proving the importance of her process as head of the Vinotinto team.

With a view to qualifying for the World Cup, the 41-year-old coach, who also leads the U-20 team, is looking after the most promising generation that Venezuela has had in women’s football.

Who is Pamela Conti?

Pamela Conti was born in Palermo in 1982 and had a successful professional career, playing for national and Spanish clubs and also wearing the Italian national team jersey. She was a midfielder with the soul of a striker and scored a total of 30 goals.

After giving up her career, Conti decided to become a coach, and so the call from the Venezuelan women’s team was the most important opportunity in her new phase.

It was officially presented on October 17, 2019 and since then a new project has been created with the main goal of qualifying Venezuela for the World Cup for the first time. Likewise, he achieved a sixth place finish at the 2022 Copa América, the silver medal at the 2023 Central American Games and qualified Vinotinto for the Pan American Games for the first time in history.

How was the last game of the women’s Vinotinto?

Pamela Conti’s Vinotinto met his Uruguayan counterpart in front of a Venezuelan crowd that was enthusiastic and encouraging at all times at the UCV Olympic Stadium in Caracas.

Thanks to Gabriela García’s only goal at the start of the second half, Venezuela beat the Uruguayan team 1-0, a great performance from the locals, who had their best player in Deyna Castellanos.

Both teams will meet again on the same stage next Monday, September 25th.
