Team World won the Laver Cup for the second year in a row on Sunday in Vancouver.
The TVA Sports channel is currently broadcasting the third and final day of the competition.
With a lead of 10-2, Team World needed just one win to seal their triumph as each win earned three points on day three. The Americans Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton made sure of that in the first game, winning 7:6 (4), 7:6 (5) against Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz and Russia’s Andrey Rublev and thus reaching the magic number of 13 points .
Of the first eight games of the competition, Team World only escaped the duel between Norwegian Casper Ruud and American Tommy Paul.
Quebec’s Félix Auger-Aliassime will play the last game of the day against Hurkacz. “FAA” won a doubles (with Shelton) and a singles (against Gaël Monfils) during the competition.
