Several young people were leaving an ice skating center in Miami Beach around 9 p.m. last Friday when they were struck by a driver who allegedly spoke to them but then walked away from the scene.

Now law enforcement is searching for the woman allegedly responsible for the hit-and-run incident, which is why they have provided a description of the car that struck a couple in the area of ​​Sheridan Avenue and Pine Tree Drive, outside the Park Scott Rakow Youth Center.

Miami Beach police spokesman Christopher Bess said: “We know the vehicle was driven by a Hispanic female wearing a black medical uniform. The vehicle was a new model Nissan Rouge which fled north without offering assistance to the victims.”

“Fear will get you nowhere, it’s not too late to show your face,” said Sonia Thomas, the mother of one of the teenagers hit by a car.

“When she saw my son with his blood all around him, the woman got into the car and drove away. Let us know what a white SUV is and its description. She spoke Spanish, so we know she is a Hispanic woman and was wearing a uniform,” said Sonia Thomas.

Calvin Thomas says: “I had a lot of blood and I fainted.” The 15-year-old boy, Sonia’s son, added that he woke up in the hospital after he and three friends left an ice skating center and were hit by a vehicle whose Driver left the scene of the accident.

Young Millie Retamoza, 14, was with her boyfriend Calvin Thomas when she was hit. “I was screaming and crying, and after the woman hit us, she came up to us and started yelling at us, ‘Mommy, why did you run the light when the light was green,'” he remembers telling him Driver told.

This Monday, the teenager, whose legs were shaking as he spoke about the incident, confirmed that he had crossed the street when the traffic light was red.

Clarissa Retamoza, mother of one of the victims, said: “I can’t imagine that someone could leave a crime scene and leave children on the street.”

Sonia has opened a fundraising account to help with the high medical costs they are facing. “My son has had four surgeries, three on his face and one on a hole in the inside of his leg.”
