Taylor Swift may have been perfectly prepared for Travis Kelce’s pursuit, at least according to a newly surfaced video clip.
In a 2012 interview with Extra, Taylor spoke about how her then-reserved suitors avoided big romantic gestures when trying to get her attention.
Kelce previously spoke about his attempts to catch up with Taylor, 33, during her blockbuster Eras tour, where he had hoped to give her a bracelet with his phone number on it.
However, he seems to have had the right idea, as the singer – who enjoyed a “loving” dinner with him after attending his game in Kansas City against the Chicago Bears on Sunday – was recently seen wearing his birthstone at a wore necklace.
In the clip, which made the rounds thanks to a TikTok video, Taylor said she wished the boys would do something “crazy” to get her attention.

Extra’s Renee Bargh began by asking Taylor what was the “craziest thing” a boy had ever done to get her “attention.”
“Nobody ever does anything crazy to get my attention!” the singer replied exasperatedly, to which the interviewer reacted in shock and asked the men to “take note.”
However, Taylor was quick to add that some of her fans have done extreme things to get her attention.
She said the “nice fans” made songs and videos for her, which she said was “really nice” and “sweet,” although it didn’t sound like she viewed these gestures as a romantic prelude.
But as she thought back to the men who had tried to court her, she added of their romantic gestures: “I can’t remember, so I guess nothing happened there.”
However, she got an excited look on her face and joked that it was “good.”
“It’s easier, the bar for whoever I date in the future to be a great guy is very low,” she added. “I’ll say, ‘Oh, you exist? This is so crazy.”‘
Taylor’s under-the-radar romances were best exemplified by her last major romance with actor Joe Alwyn.

The couple, who were together for six years before splitting in April this year, largely kept their love out of the spotlight and made it a notable event when they were spotted together in public.
The public interest in his relationship with the Anti-Hero singer reportedly made Joe uncomfortable, which contributed to the end of their relationship.
