NFL: Travis Kelce jersey sales have exploded since Taylor Swift’s visit – RDS

NEW YORK – Pop singer Taylor Swift’s visit to Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play had an impact on more than just gossip sites. After the presence of the winner of 12 Grammy Awards, sales of the star tight end’s jerseys exploded.

According to Fanatics, a company specializing in the sale of licensed sporting goods, Kelce slipped into the NFL’s top five bestsellers on Sunday. It was responsible for “a nearly 400 percent increase in sales across Fanatics’ various platforms, including the NFLShop.com website,” a company spokesman said in an email to the Associated Press.

This sharp increase in sales came just as Swift was spotted in Kansas City attending the Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in one of the club’s luxury boxes.

Kelce did not meet with the media after the game but was seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium with Swift.

The romance between Kelce and Swift was on everyone’s lips after Sunday’s meeting in the Chiefs’ locker room, including by head coach Andy Reid, who joked that he was “the matchmaker.”

Swift is currently taking a break from her “Eras Tour,” which continues Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Beyond jersey sales, the NFL also benefited from Swift’s visit to the Chiefs’ home. As of Tuesday, the league biography is last.
