Johnny Hooker, in turn, took to social media to say that he and his team were devastated by the events and were considering the appropriate legal action. The singer also asked for support for the other artists who will take part in the event, such as Duda Beat, Xamã and Vanessa da Mata.

“My show is a show of respect, an appreciation of diversity, promoting the word of love and respect for all,” Hooker explained. He also classified the episode as a victory for LGBTphobiareligious extremism and conservatism in Brazil.
