North Korea’s representative to the United Nations warned Tuesday that the Korean peninsula is “on the brink of nuclear war,” particularly because of U.S. “reckless actions.”

The “reckless” actions and the “continued hysteria of the United States and its allies regarding nuclear confrontation… are pushing the Korean peninsula into a military situation on the brink of nuclear war,” Pyongyang’s ambassador to the United Nations, Kim Song, warned in a statement Speech to the General Assembly.
The representative of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the official name of North Korea, attacked Washington’s policies in Northeast Asia, denouncing a “current, dangerous situation that is the work of the United States, which wants to perfect its hegemonic ambitions.” overestimate their power.
