Taylor Swift’s presence at the last Chiefs game caused sales of replica jerseys of star tight end Travis Kelce to skyrocket.
The singer’s appearance had repercussions not only on gossip sites.
According to Fanatics, a company specializing in the sale of licensed sporting goods, Kelce crept into the NFL’s top five bestsellers on Sunday.
He was responsible for a nearly 400 percent increase in sales across Fanatics’ various platforms, including the website NFLShop.com, a company spokesman said in an email to the Associated Press.
The surge in sales came after she was spotted in Kansas City with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in one of the luxury boxes reserved for players’ wives and other significant others.
The footballer did not speak to the media after the game but was seen leaving the stadium with Swift.

The romance between Kelce and Swift was the talk of the Chiefs’ locker room, including head coach Andy Reid, who joked that he was the matchmaker.
The pop star is taking a break from her Eras tour, which continues November 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Beyond jersey sales, the NFL also benefited from Swift’s visit to the Chiefs’ home. As of Tuesday, X Network’s league bio read: NFL (Taylor’s version), next to a photo of Swift and Donna Kelce.
