Travis Kelce broke his silence on his weekend with Taylor Swift – but fans will have to wait a few more hours to find out exactly what went down between the two.
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis and his older brother Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, have a podcast together called “New Heights” and a teaser clip was sent out on social media Tuesday night.
“We’ve avoided this topic out of respect for your private life – now we need to talk about it,” Jason says in the 21-second clip.
“My personal life isn’t that personal,” Travis jokes. “I did this to myself, Jason, I know that.”
Jason continues, “So Trav, how does it feel that Taylor Swift has finally put you on the map?”
The clip then ends with Travis laughing, and the caption states that the full episode will be released on Wednesday.
Travis and Taylor have been the hottest story all week after she accepted his offer to see him play for the Chiefs amid their dating links.
Swift, 33, took a seat next to Travis’ mother Donna at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday afternoon. She was wearing a red and white Chiefs jersey, but ironically she had always been a fan of the Eagles, Jason’s team.
Travis delivered as Taylor watched – scoring a touchdown as the Chiefs, last season’s Super Bowl champions, beat the Chicago Bears 41-10. Taylor appeared to scream, “Let’s fucking go!” in response to Kelce’s touchdown reception in the third quarter, in which he led the Chiefs with seven catches for 69 yards and the touchdown grab.
After the game, the two were seen together for the first time as they left the stadium side by side. Later that evening, fans spotted the couple driving around Kansas City in their vintage convertible.
On social media, fans loved the new pictures, with one commenting: “Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce driving around Kansas City, Missouri in a convertible, it’s the American equivalent of the royal wedding.”
The Chiefs star, also 33, first tried to get in touch with Swift when her Eras tour came to Kansas City over the summer.
On the podcast with Jason, he revealed that he tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but couldn’t reach her.
“So I was a little upset that I couldn’t give her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis said.
“She’s not seeing anyone – or at least she didn’t want to meet me.” So I took it personally.’
That was in July. A few months later, Kelce seems to have gotten his way. It’s not just the NFL world that will be eagerly awaiting the latest episode of the Kelce Podcast on Wednesday.
