Host and influencer Alex Otaola responded to Lenier Mesa after the Cuban singer dedicated a chorus to him during a concert in Orlando.
In his broadcast, Otaola claimed he was not upset and said the reason was because any mention of his name was a promotion for him.
“Lenier, it doesn’t really offend me, the same people who were there sent it to me, it doesn’t worry me, it doesn’t affect me, on the contrary, you make me popular, you talk about me, you bring people to chanting my name, even to hating me,” commented Otaola.
“Whoever started this whole campaign with Lenier: ‘Don’t complain to the artists, complain to Canel, if they didn’t go to New York, you can’t blame the artists,’ all this is coming from the state security and whoever.” “He’s dealing directly with the artists, that’s Michel Mirabal, they’ve already told me everything,” said the communicator.
At the concert, Mesa improvised by mentioning Otoala while simultaneously urging the audience to shout against the host and the president-elect of Cuba, Miguel Mario Díaz Canel Bermúdez.
As he said, he doesn’t believe in influencers. “I don’t believe in Otaola,” he is heard saying in the middle of the improvisation, in which he adds: “I will defend Cuba until Cuba is free.”
“I am the flag of Cuba, I represent all of Cuba,” the artist adds to the rhythm of his musicians. “I am rising like a tsunami, and next year I will be the owner of Miami,” he concludes.
Lenier does not escape controversy. A few hours ago, reggaeton player El Micha got angry with his colleague for including Chocolate MC in a song with his lyrics.
