The forests of central Portugal caught fire in 2017. The extent of the fires was enormous – 110 people died. Scientists confirmed that climate change further fueled the flames, according to allegations made by six children and young people from Leiria and Lisbon, who are now demanding legal consequences. The youngest plaintiff is now eleven years old and the oldest is 24 years old.
