Connor Bedard’s National Hockey League (NHL) debut is under scrutiny and Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews is being relied upon to keep an eye on the young player.
Obviously, the Leafs’ number 34 has high expectations for the former Regina Pats’ color carrier’s first appearance in the NHL. Matthews wouldn’t be surprised if Bedard performed better than him, citing his four-goal game in his Bettman Tour debut in 2016.

“I’m sure he can score six goals,” he said with a smile on his face in the Sportsnet network’s comments section.
Connor Bedard will make his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 10th.
