The Cuban-American Student Association (CASA) invites you to the screening of the Cuban film “Plantadas” by Lilo Vilaplana at the Tsai Auditorium at Harvard University in Cambridge.
“Plantadas,” which premiered at the 2023 Miami Film Festival and won the Feature Film Prize and the Audience Prize, lasts 120 minutes and tells the struggle of three women in their confrontation with the political systems of their country, who end up in prison.
The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Cuban filmmaker Lilo Vilaplana and Genoveva Canaval, a former Cuban political prisoner and one of the real “Plandas.”
“This event will provide valuable information about the Cuban experience and promote dialogue on human rights and political activism,” report the organizers of the screening.
