The delegate in charge of the Kayky Brito runover case, Ângelo Lages, stated that Bruno de Luca would not be charged with failure to render assistance. The presenter, a friend of Brito, was with the actor shortly before he was run over.
The delegate told UOL portal Splash that Luca “did not commit any crimes.” The presenter told civil police that he saw his friend run over on Avenida Lúcio Costa on September 2, but that he did not know it was Brito.
At the beginning of the investigation, Lages named Bruno as the main witness in the case, as Brito was walking to his car a few minutes before the accident.
“I am traumatized. The worst thing that happened to me in my life. I’m still very scared. Kayky is my best friend, we wrote a play together. I was there and had fun, then I left to pay the bill and whatever.” “I saw what happened,” Bruno de Luca said after his statement on September 6th.
Edivan Martins, an employee of the Dona Marta kiosk where the friends celebrated, said in a statement that Bruno and Kayky did not arrive drunk and that they had drunk vodka and energy drinks at the establishment.
