Madrid, September 28 (RHC) The Festival of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), the largest popular festival in the country, begins tomorrow in Rivas-Vaciamadrid with a three-day offer of diverse activities ranging from political, musical, literary and leisure.

The event, which is in its 45th edition from Friday to Sunday at the Miguel Ríos Exhibition Center and Auditorium in this Madrid city, is the third longest event of the EuroFestival after L’Humanité in Paris and the Feta do Avante in Portugal. while the fourth and most recent is the Manifesta in Belgium.

The PCE Festival, an organization that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021, brings together social, political and solidarity events with popular markets, conferences on various current topics, honors, concerts, art, cinema and gastronomic and cultural activities of all kinds.

This event was preceded by the Festa do Avante in Lisbon in September, followed by the ManiFiesta in Ostend, Belgium, and the Fête de L’Humanité in the Essone region of Paris.

Lectures, debates, book presentations, documentaries, art, theater, concerts and many other proposals will attract the large audience that will fill the Miguel Ríos de Rivas-Vaciamadrid venue, which will become the epicenter of the entire Spanish Left, as the organizers expect today . .

For reading lovers, a tent was set up for the book fair not far from the central stage of the Internationalist Space of this large leisure-political fair.

For several years, one of the reference spaces of the PCE Festival has been the Cuban Corner, with dance proposals, live performances, national cuisine and cocktails, as well as support meetings and calls for solidarity with the island.

The InterFest team, traveling from the island, will give the PCE festival a Cuban flair, as was the case with Feta do Avante, ManiFiesta and L’Humanité.

Among other initiatives of the friendship groups, a solidarity raffle will be organized this year at the Cuban Corner, the proceeds of which will benefit the project of the Cooperation and Solidarity Association “Ernesto Guevara” for the rehabilitation, provision of resources and conditioning of the special educational school Alfredo Noa Díaz of Santiago de Cuba.

The PCE Festival, known to many since its beginnings as the Workers’ World Festival, the organ of this political organization, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021 like the rest of similar organizations in Europe, is an example of the expressions of national Peculiarities. .

In addition, they are ideal places for political debates, conferences and lectures on current international issues and solidarity for a better world. (Source:PL)
