Elon Musk has sparked a new war of words with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after calling the fiery congresswoman “not that smart” on X.
The Tesla mogul, 52, and Congresswoman AOC, 33, have been feuding online for a long time – and the latest episode was sparked after Musk made a comment about her views on immigration.
Responding to AOC’s video about migrants in New York City, billionaire Elon Musk said, “She’s just not that smart.”
To which Ocasio-Cortez clapped back: “I wasn’t born rich and became the youngest woman in American history elected to Congress.”
New York native AOC told Musk to “Stay crazy” during their recent argument on X, officially Twitter.

“Then I investigated Cohen, launched FEMA’s largest funeral assistance program in history, and led the creation of a U.S. Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs.”
The New York native told Musk, “Stay crazy.”
And instead of ignoring the answer, Musk sarcastically replied: “I take it back – you’re obviously a genius.”
He added: “Firstly, allow me to congratulate you on these epic achievements.”
“However, have you considered that FEMA should focus its resources on preventing funerals rather than on ‘funeral assistance’?”
It is not the first time that the two have had a public argument, which often has a flirtatious undertone.
AOC, who previously attacked Musk online, wrote: “I’m tired of having to collectively point out the explosion of hate crimes taking place because a billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communications platform.”
“Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,” Musk replied, adding a blushing emoji.
“I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” she replied before deleting the tweet a minute later.
In May of this year, the bright New York congresswoman tweeted that she may be abandoning her 13.4 million followers after Elon Musk promoted a “sick” account impersonating her.
She said she was “thinking” about what to do after the billionaire responded to a tweet from the parody account “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (Parody).”
“FYI: There is a fake account impersonating me that is going viral,” AOC tweeted. “The Twitter CEO enabled it and increased visibility.”
She claimed the account was publishing “false political statements” after previously tweeting about her boyfriend’s farts and her ideas for combating climate change.
“I’m thinking with my team about how to proceed,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
“In the meantime, be careful what you see,” she warned her followers.
Her message came after Musk responded to a tweet from the parody account that said, “This may be the wine talking, but I have a crush on @ElonMusk.”
The mogul responded with a fire emoji.
She also previously claimed that Musk interfered with her account when she couldn’t see notifications from verified accounts.
The congresswoman said the matter arose after a public dispute.
“Yo @ElonMusk while I have your attention why should people pay $8 just to have their app broken for saying something you don’t like?” she tweeted earlier this year.
Musk responded to the tweet jokingly: “What can I say?” It was a naked abuse of power.”
And in December, AOC condemned Musk after he suspended the accounts of a half-dozen journalists who covered him and his takeover of Twitter.
“I feel unsafe, but I’m getting off [an] “Abuse of power and the irregular banning of journalists only increases the intensity around you,” she wrote.
“As someone who has been a victim of real and dangerous conspiracies, I understand this. I had no security and experienced many frightening incidents. In fact, many of the right-wing media outlets you are now highlighting have published photos of my home, my car, etc.
“At a certain point you have to disconnect. “Maybe try putting the phone down,” she suggested.
“You first lol,” Musk replied at the time.
