ORLANDO, Fla. – SeaWorld Orlando will redefine thrills in spring 2024 with the highly anticipated arrival of “Penguin Trek.”
Designed to take riders on an exhilarating journey through the awe-inspiring vastness of Antarctica, “Penguin Trek” promises a unique adventure.

The breathtaking ride features a snowmobile-style car that the theme park says will immerse passengers in a penguin research mission. Thrill-seekers can look forward to two exhilarating launches and a maze of twists and turns as they zoom along a 3,020-foot track that winds indoors and outdoors. The roller coaster reaches speeds of up to 70 km/h and provides an adrenaline rush that will take riders’ breath away.
On board “Penguin Trek”, drivers take on the role of intrepid explorers and embark on an exciting expedition through the icy wilderness. The adventure begins with a close call in an ice cave and then escalates as riders charge onto an outdoor roller coaster track.

What really sets “Penguin Trek” apart is its breathtaking finale. When the coaster comes to a stop, guests will find themselves not in a simulated penguin colony, but in the heart of SeaWorld Orlando’s actual penguin habitat. The unprecedented experience allows visitors to get up close and personal with these fascinating birds, adding an unforgettable animal encounter to the thrill of the roller coaster ride.
According to SeaWorld, the family-friendly roller coaster is suitable for riders ranging in height from 42 inches to 77 inches.

This will be the eighth coaster the theme park adds to its exciting portfolio.
The world-class design is thanks to Bolliger & Mabillard, B&M, the renowned designers and manufacturers known for their excellence in roller coaster construction. The company helped design one of the park’s other exciting attractions, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, which opened earlier this year.
Construction of the new roller coaster is currently underway near the park’s Antarctica Empire of the Penguin.
