Lions change history in NFC North with Packers road loss

Lions change history in NFC North with Packers road loss at Lambeau Field – NFL.com

Interesting fact from NFL Research: The Lions are the sixth team in NFL history to win two road games in prime time in September. Two of the previous five teams won the Super Bowl (three made it to the Super Bowl). Others: 2015 Broncos (won Super Bowl 50), 2014 Bears, 2009 Colts (lost Super Bowl XLIV), 1995 Cowboys (won Super Bowl XXX), 1995 Packers.

These aren’t your grandfather’s Lions.

But Goff knows there’s a lot of work to be done over a long season.

“There are still four games left. We’re 3-1, leading the division and feeling good,” he said. “But at some point in the season we will face real adversity. This happens to every team. Knowing when that moment arrives, seizing it and persevering will be our true test. “That will come at some point and.” Hopefully it won’t be that bad, but at some point we’ll have to work through something. This is how we will know what we are made of. I know what we’re made of, but we’ll manage to prove it.”

At least one person thinks the NFC North goes through Detroit: Packers QB Jordan Love.

When asked if he thinks Detroit is the team to beat, Love answered in the only way possible after Thursday’s attack.

“Yes. Absolutely,” he said. “Thanks to them. They played really well tonight. I think that we and they went into this game, but obviously we haven’t played the Vikings yet, but any time we play a northern opponent it’s going to be a huge game at the end of the year. It’s a game we’ll look forward to playing next time. We just have to get better and win.”

The Lions and Packers will play their 2023 return game on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit.
