Bizarrap changes its name

The Argentine producer and musician Bizarre changes its name to Bizapop to announce a new sessionNumber 57, in a short film inspired by “The Wolf of Wall Street” in which he collaborates with Argentine actors Guillermo Francella and Gastón Cocchiarale.

The clip begins with a scene very similar to Martin Scorsese’s most iconic film: Bizarrap stands on a table and gives a speech in a crazy office full of young people in suits dancing, drinking and celebrating their business successes (“We’re closing them down …”) Business!” Arabia!” shouts one).

The euphoria reaches its peak when the Argentine producer, who signed the script together with the short film’s director, Jaime James, announces that they have managed to surpass 8.5 billion views on Spotify. Actor Gastón Cocchiarale plays the role of Bizarrap’s right-hand man and main entertainer at the self-parody party.

The celebration is abruptly cut short when an executive, played by popular Argentinian actor Guillermo Francella (“The Secret in Her Eyes”), calls Bizarrap into the office, who arrives obsequiously.

“They don’t even know what they’re celebrating. “You didn’t understand anything,” says Francella, who, after showing a series of screenshots about the possibility of changing the name from “Bizarrap” to “Bizapop,” asks him: “Do you remember what you told me when this all started?” “.

“That I had to take advantage of my blue eyes more,” laughs Bizarrap, pointing to his everlasting sunglasses, and “the more people listened to us, the harder it became to make everyone happy,” the producer adds.

“And do you remember what I answered you? “When that happened, you had to understand that people don’t decide what music they listen to, but that the music decides who wants to hear it (…) Sometimes I would like to hear what the music thinks about.” “All of us “, snaps Francella.

“Me too? “Who do I have to listen to?” Bizarrap then asks him and leaves the answer to him. next October 4thwhen your new session is published.

Under the name Gonzalo Julián Conde, the bizarrap phenomenon first established itself among younger audiences thanks to the popularity of his collaborations with artists such as Villano Antillano, Tiago PZK or, above all, session number 52 with the Spanish Quevedo, which was number 1 worldwide for seven weeks.

Some of these works gave him the chance to become the most listened to Argentine artist in the world in 2020, and in 2021 he collected four Latin Grammy nominations in the Producer of the Year and Best New Artist categories. He signed his last session with the Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro.
