Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott Mathers, was pictured for the first time in four years since her stint in rehab and attempted suicide in 2021 during an outing in Shelby Township, Michigan, earlier this month.
The 48-year-old, who was “hospitalized after attempting suicide” after her mother’s death, was seen running errands and stopped at a pizza chain before making her way to her next destination.
Kim sported a blonde pixie cut and showed off a series of tattoos all over her arms. She wore a black tank top and ripped jeans.
According to The US Sun, she expressed that she is “doing well” after going through a difficult time following the loss of family members – such as her own mother and her twin sister Dawn.
“It was hard, I lost my mother, my father and my sister.” [over the past 10 years]” Mathers explained. ‘[But] I’m doing well. “I’ve been clean since about October, I went to Jefferson House for 45 days.”

Ahead of the star’s errand run, Kim was also spotted loading items into a vehicle outside her home a few days earlier while donning a light blue backless pants suit made from denim material.
She also explained that her children have been “very supportive” of her as she focuses on her health, explaining that she is “now taking medication.”
Back on July 30, 2021, Kim attempted suicide and was hospitalized after medics responded to a frantic 911 call from her Michigan home, TMZ reported at the time.
When first responders arrived at the home, first responders found that Mathers was “combative and violent” and also had “multiple small cuts on the back of her leg,” the outlet further reported.
According to a police report obtained by Page Six at the time, Kim was found to be “bleeding profusely” and lying on the bathroom floor holding an “unidentified object” in her hands.
The report alleged that she “attempted to strike the responding officer,” adding that Mathers appeared to have “difficulty speaking, her speech was slurred and later fluctuated in various levels of consciousness.”
A box was also discovered containing “random messages” Kim had written to family members. There was also a “do not resuscitate” request that she had also written out.
The Sun reported shortly after the attack that Kim had “left a message” asking not to call the police.

In an audio recording obtained by the outlet, an unidentified woman could be heard telling a dispatcher that Mathers had tried to harm herself after taking pills.
When asked how Kim tried to harm herself, the caller replied: “I don’t know, I just ran away, there’s someone with her.” “There’s blood all over the bathroom floor.”
Later she was heard saying, “She had locked the door and wouldn’t let me in.” And I kept telling her, “I’m coming in, I’m coming in.” And she was laying on the floor and saying, “Don’t call the police “Don’t call the police.”‘
TMZ had claimed that Kim was taken to a hospital to undergo both a medical and psychological evaluation, but was then sent home to recover.
The suicide attempt came just days after her mother Kathy Sluck’s death at the age of 65 on July 23, 2021. The following day, an online obituary page posted a tribute by Kim Mathers, expressing her pain at the loss .
“I don’t even know where to start, Mom!!!” First of all, I want to say that I lied to you when I said I was going to be fine… I lied when I said ‘I can do it, I promise!’
“Fuck it all!!! I don’t even know how I’m going to do this without you. I just wanted you to stop hurting me, suffering me or fighting for me!!! But I’m sure you know that!!! You have been the support and backbone for me and my children and I cannot thank you enough.”
“You taught me how to be a fighter and not put up with anything and tried to teach me to love myself the same way you loved me!!!” You were there for every fall I had and BOY ‘THERE WAS A LOT!!!’
