A massive estate on the banks of the Saint-Maurice River in Shawinigan was just sold by its owner for $2.55 million.

The 4,400-square-foot, two-story home was built in 2012 on a site consisting of around ten lots acquired over time. The result today is a total of 15 acres or 60,170 square meters (or 647,675 ft2) of space.

The main building, formerly owned by Pierre Milot, has no fewer than 27 rooms, including seven bedrooms, five bathrooms and a shower room, two garages and an elevator, as well as a guest suite with its own kitchen.

In the most recent three-year valuation list, 41 chemin des Estacades in the Grand-mère sector was assigned a value of US$1,305,800. We are talking about a moderate increase of 2.2% compared to the previous estimate.

In 2023, local taxes were $19,742. Added to the purchase price for the buyer is a transfer tax payable to the Township of Shawinigan in the amount of $67,343.
