Another Bears player complains about coaches

The Chicago Bears’ 2023 season is only three games old, but the network appears to have already arrived.

The Illinois club is 0-3 and hasn’t even come close to a win.

On Friday, another of the organization’s star players criticized the coaching staff. When asked if he believed he was put in a position to be successful, wide receiver Chase Claypool took a long pause before simply answering, “No.”

“I wouldn’t say it’s not an ideal place for me,” said the man whose comments were reported by the ESPN network. Of course, there are other places where you can say, “Oh, I want to be part of the best offense with the most passing yards,” but that doesn’t happen in football. You have to be happy with what you have.”

“I’m not going to tell them what to do,” Claypool said of his coaches. It’s up to them and I’ll just do what they tell me.”

The Canadian receiver, acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a second-round pick last year, has caught just four passes for 51 yards since the start of this season.

Claypool is the second Bears star player to complain about the coaching staff this season.

About 10 days ago, quarterback Justin Fields suggested that he was playing “robotic” and wasn’t feeling “like himself.”

“I think maybe it’s the coaching,” Fields said. She [les entraîneurs] are doing their job when they tell me what to do. However, I can’t think about all of that while playing. I prepare during the week and when the game comes it’s time to play freely. I have to think less and play more.”

The Bears will look to experience the joy of victory for the first time this season this Sunday when they host the Denver Broncos at Soldier Field. The Colorado club is also 0-3 and was humiliated by the Miami Dolphins 70-20.
