- Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend is speaking out after he and Taylor Swift sparked dating rumors.
- Maya Benberry, who met Kelce on his dating show in 2016, called the football player a “narcissist.”
- Benberry told Inside Edition that she doubts the authenticity of the alleged relationship between him and Swift.
Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend didn’t mince words when asked to comment on his alleged relationship with Taylor Swift.
Maya Benberry, 31, dated Kelce, 33, after his appearance on the E! 2016! Dating show “Catching Kelce.” Similar to The Bachelor, without the expectation of an engagement, the show featured 50 women vying for Kelce’s attention as he tried to find the one.
Benberry and Kelce continued to be together for months after the show ended. He then made contact with sports reporter Kayla Nicole, with whom he had an on-again, off-again romance for five years.

In a recent interview with “Inside Edition,” Benberry said that her experience with Kelce led her to view him as a “narcissist” and that she doubted the authenticity of his alleged relationship with Swift.
“As the saying goes, once a cheater, always a cheater,” Benberry said, referring to Kelce. “Certain characteristics don’t change in men. I feel like Travis is a narcissist, so most narcissists don’t change.”

Benberry cited Kelce’s willingness to discuss Swift publicly as the main reason she questions the “authenticity” of their connection.
The life coach also said that she received negative messages from Swift’s fan base, commonly known as Swifties.
“Swifties are aggressive, very negative, very hypocritical. It’s really crazy to me that someone I find positive and really nice has such a negative and angry fan base,” Benberry said.
She added that she doesn’t know Swift but is a fan of her music.
“I’m not jealous of Taylor. She is beautiful, she is successful. We are on two different paths. My problem is more with Travis,” Benberry said.

Representatives for Kelce and Swift did not immediately respond to Insider’s requests for comment outside of normal work hours.
The couple first sparked dating speculation in July when he attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Kansas City. He later admitted on the New Heights podcast that he tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it but was rebuffed.
Rumors that the two were dating escalated after the “Cruel Summer” singer accepted Kelce’s invitation to one of his games last Sunday. At the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears in Kansas City, Swift was seen cheering alongside his mother, Kelce.
Although neither Kelce nor Swift have confirmed relationship speculation, he heaped praise on them on Thursday’s “New Heights” episode, co-hosted by his brother, Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce.
“I just loved how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her – the friends and the family,” he said. “She looked amazing and everyone was talking great about her.”
There were also rumors that Swift would perform at the upcoming Chiefs and New York Jets game on Sunday, which caused a stir according to NBC released a promo for the event for their “1989” album title “Welcome To New York”.
