There are interesting details of an agreement published by the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag (WamS).
The focus of the report is on the nightly satirist Jan Böhmermann, known for the program ‘ZDF Magazin Royale’. WamS must provide details of the contractthat ZDF closed with Böhmermann at the end of 2022.
Therefore, the moderator should this year 651,000 euros plus VAT received from ZDF.
In the coming years, Böhmermanns rate for the moderation of the program ‘ZDF Magazin Royale’ they also increase 31,000 euros each. So that the 42-year-old satirist would raise an amount of 713 thousand euros (excluding VAT) in 2025.

According to information from WamS, the new agreement is significantly more endowed than the old one, which was in effect from October 2020 until the end of 2022.
When questioned, ZDF did not want to provide any information, “among other things for data protection reasons”. Böhmermann WamS reports that he himself left a corresponding request unanswered.
Böhmermann reacted on social media
The TV satirist reacted in If these numbers were correct, I would have moved to private television in anger a long time ago!” he posted on Saturday afternoon.
