Maraisa was moved when she saw a corpse with the face of Marília Mendonça and asked the truck carrying the tribute to stop on the road.

Videos of the country singer’s meeting with the truck driver were published this Saturday (30) on Instagram by the businessman Fernando Mocó, the singer’s friend.

“I can’t believe it! I was very glad! Maraisa saw my tribute to our Queen. I think it was a dream. It was wonderful, I’m shocked, I can’t believe it. I even pinch myself,” Laís commented on her Instagram when talking about meeting the country singer.

She explained that because of the tribute to Marília, it was common for many people to take photos and honk. But this time it was different.

“The car stopped next to me, a girl opened the window and showed me an ID card. When I opened the window and looked, Maraisa lay down on the front seat and I was shocked. “She said she thought it was beautiful that she loved the tribute and blew me a kiss,” Laís said.

Marilia Mendonça died in a plane crash in November 2021 at the age of 26. At that time she wanted to go on tour with Maraia and Maraisa, two of her closest friends.

Marília Mendonça’s songs took Brazil by storm with intense and romantic lyrics and melodies. She is considered one of the most popular artists in the country and, starting in 2016, initiated a feminine turn in the genre in the socalled “Feminejo,” which introduced women as protagonists in a style that had until then been almost exclusively dominated by men.
