Newlyweds said they were “dead inside” after their wedding reception ended in tragedy when at least 100 guests died in a devastating fire.

Bride Haneen, 18, lost 10 family members, including her mother and brother, while her new husband Revan, 27, lost 15 family members.
The tragedy occurred on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday when a fire quickly spread during a wedding celebration in Ninice province, northern Iraq.

“We are dead inside. We are deaf. “We’re dead inside,” Revan said sadly.

He added that his fiancée “cannot speak” after the disaster, the New York Post reports.
More than 150 people were injured by the flames, the choking smoke or in the mass panic as they fled the reception room.

It was completely devastated by the fire, leaving it nothing more than a collection of charred rubble scattered here and there, along with twisted and melted furniture, all beneath a partially collapsed ceiling.

Authorities said indoor fireworks were likely the cause of the fire.
