In an article for Insider, Sarra Sedghi recounted her experience at Costco, complaining that her attempts to save money instead resulted in her wasting her hard-earned money and turning her into an “impulsive shopper” and a big “snack consumer.” “ made.

“The ability to buy in bulk initially helped me plan and stock up on supplies and personal hygiene items like toilet paper,” she writes.

However, she quickly became overwhelmed with the items she had purchased in bulk and didn’t even know where to put them.

“Many times I would grab something because I thought it would be good to have on hand, but I never used it,” she admits.

“I still haven’t finished the large pack of canned tomatoes I bought in 2022, and a jar of capers from storage is still three quarters full,” she explains again.

She complains that her household of two could not use up the food supplies they had purchased quickly enough, which ultimately led to losses and waste as she had to get rid of them.

Ms. Sedghi, who works from home, also struggled to manage her new access to an abundance of snacks.

“Large portions and boredom were often the perfect combination for mindless snacking,” she says.

“My worst crime was having to buy back a huge bag of Halloween candy that I bought in September because we ate it all before October 31,” she said.
