A New York State Police officer and his dog had to intervene to round up a group of 30 fleeing goats in the town of Carmel, New York, on September 25th.
The goats were loose on a Putnam County road, the New York Post reported.
They had escaped from their enclosure at Mahopac Falls. A Carmel City Police officer and his German Shepherd responded to catch up with the fleeing animals.
Vincent DeSantola and his dog Pietro managed to get her back to her enclosure.
The video was posted on the police Facebook account, saying, “DeSantola was responding to Mahopac Falls today when 30 escaped goats wandered down the road, and luckily he had the perfect partner for the job.” K9 Pietro , a German Shepherd, lived up to his name and helped quickly return the goats to their enclosure. Before I add, “Good job, K9 Cowboy.”
