Even though Tom Cruise has been estranged from him and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri Cruise since he and Holmes’ divorce in 2012, it seems like he ends up being the one who contributes a lot to Suri’s college tuition.
While the Mission Impossible star will literally have no say in his college choice, it looks like he’ll be footing the bill.

Tom’s child support payments are reportedly just over $33,000 per month, or around $400,000 per year. But at the same time, an important requirement in the divorce proceedings has resurfaced, especially since Suri is so close to entering college! According to Hollywood Reporter, Cruise Suri’s expenses such as medical care, education, college, and more must be paid for.
But will Suri go to college? Most likely, because according to DailyMail, she is reportedly looking for reputable schools to study fashion. Although she has reportedly applied “everywhere,” she will most likely stay in New York to study fashion.

Well, here’s the thing: Holmes will receive this monthly payment until Suri turns 18. Her 18th birthday will be on April 18th next year. So several possibilities could arise: either Holmes has saved up over the years and doesn’t have to worry about tuition but could pay it in full if that option is available, or the first year is covered. Another possibility is that Cruise can extend the payments until after she graduates because she has to pay for college.
We definitely hope Suri has a great time at university!
Holmes welcomed Suri, now 17, with her ex-husband Cruise on April 18, 2006.
