On the occasion of Realms Deep 2023, RIPOUT, a cooperative horror FPS that plunges you into the dark corridors of ships full of warlike mutants, announced the release of its Early Access on October 24th via a trailer. Armed with your trusty Petgun, you wander the procedurally organized corridors of a ship on a mission to search for humanity’s last bastion. As you explore, you’ll collect loot to upgrade your suit and weapon. You will also encounter mutants who can combine with other creatures in real time to complicate your task.
Since this trailer is a short film, you can always refer back to the latest version of the demo on the game’s Steam page to form your own opinion. During our preview, we noted that RIPOUT’s pre-alpha demo had very interesting potential, but that it was too early to form a final opinion given the amount of very light content. Since then, with player feedback and support from publisher 3D Realms, the development team has been busy refining the title and adding new content.
