Linda Yaccarino, CEO of During the 45-minute interview, she shared previously unknown statistics from the company.
Throughout the interview she reiterated that she had only been employed at X for 12 weeks. She revealed that X, formerly Twitter, is losing daily active users after being acquired by Elon Musk.
At the technology conference, Ms. Yaccarino said the company currently has 225 million daily active users – a decline of tens of millions, or 11.6 percent, of users compared to just before Mr. Musk took over the company.
Last year, Elon Musk posted a series of tweets revealing that Twitter had 254.5 million daily active users in the week before his acquisition.

According to The Information, X has adjusted its daily active user count to 245 million daily active users. She said that
According to the Mashable report and statistics it shared, X is losing millions, or about 3.7 percent, of daily active users from before Mr. Musk took over.
The report claims that daily active users are even lower than the numbers Musk announced when he was in charge last year. Twitter had 259.4 million daily active users as of mid-November 2022. X has lost nearly 15 million users – a decline of about 5.6 percent.
When asked about user metrics, Ms. Yaccarino tried to go off topic and said that X had 200 or 250 daily active users. She also said that the platform has 50,000 communities and the number of engagements has increased since June.
She then said that X has 550 million monthly active users. It’s unclear how much monthly active user growth has occurred under Mr. Musk’s leadership.
She also said making a profit,” she said on stage at the Code Conference.
She also claimed: “90% of the top 100 advertisers have returned to the platform in the last 12 weeks alone.”
