Terrorist attack in Ankara: A suicide bomber died after blowing himself up near the Interior Ministry. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made the announcement, adding that another “terrorist” involved in the attack at 9:30 a.m. local time this morning was killed.
Turkish media published a photo of a rocket launcher on the ground in the area where the explosion occurred, near the headquarters of other ministries and also the Turkish parliament, which is due to reopen today after the summer recess. “One of the terrorists blew himself up while the other was neutralized,” the minister added, revealing that two police officers were slightly injured.
